With the weekend coming up, it’s time for us workin’ folk to think about some music. A couple of weekends back, Steel Standin’ was performing in Smithfield on Sunday afternoon -- close enough to home for an old fart to get there and back and still have a beer.
The venue, Planb, could be described as a biker honky tonk.

The band these days is Big Mike Bullock, vocals; Brown Holloman, vocals & rhythm; Big John Warlick, bass; Tommy Everette, lead guitar; and Steve Strickland, drums.
