INVITATION
The flower (here of a white azalea) offers the invitation to the insect. Given its immobility, the blossom’s personal view is always from the same vantage point. It’s reach is small.
ACCEPTANCE
The bee takes the offer of a meal. It grants to the plant the feet it must borrow to take its pollen to distant flowers which are also immobilized by toes dug deep into the earth.
The extravagance of temples and cathedrals becomes somewhat clearer to me.
