So last night’s trip was to Lithuanian Hall to see a bunch of VERY energetic young folks turn out for a regular event at the Hall--Save Your Soul--a truly eclectic dance party. Landis Expandis spun the records for the evening.
The Crowd gets heavy (and maybe a bit aromatic) as the evening thrashes on.
Lithuanian beer and shots dominate.
The hall was built as a center for the Lithuanian community back in 1917. It served as a hot bed for Communists in the ‘20s. The Hall continues its subversive history in more artistic and youthful manner today with dancing and frivolity. It still serves more sedate uses as a community center on other occasions.
