Chances are, if you are of a certain age, you remember a nice middle-aged lady who waited tables in a restaurant. She wore lipstick aplenty and sported a wonderful upward sweeping bouffant that mesmerized you.
“What can I get ya, Hon?” was her endearing battle cry.
The Hampden community in Baltimore celebrates them every year during the Spring with HonFest. It’s the same neighborhood made famous by John Waters in his movies. They’re having it this weekend, and we had a wonderful bash there yesterday. (The crabcake sandwiches were AWESOME!)
What a lovely bunch of nuts were circulating there.
