The one great founding principle of our country was that the unpopular did NOT equate with illegal.
Over the years, many have fought for our freedoms. The military are frequently (and rightly) honored. All too often, we forget those who spoke up for the rights of the underrepresented and unpopular.
Those who speak up to the face of our culture and rulers offer us equal defense. Even those with whom we disagree speak for us all when it comes to reminding government that government’s ultimate responsibility is keeping us free even when the biggest threat to our freedom is “majority rule.”
Moral Monday moved into its ninth week July 1. Here are collected more documents of its life. Thank you Brother William Barber and the many others who aid in raising the voices of those who cannot make million-dollar contributions to political campaigns.
On Monday, July 1, 72 more volunteers were arrested. The total for the nine Moral Monday demonstrations now stands at 682.
