First draft, fragmentary
First draft, fragmentary
I have no idea how many times I’ve attended North Carolina’s annual agricultural State Fair. It’s become part of my life now, I suppose. For some parts of my life, it was for the excitement. For part, it was a family tradition to meet my mom and stepdad for my birthday. For some years, it was to please my kids. Now, it is for me to take pictures of the wonderful mishmash of humanity that swirls through the midway.
Both my kids were in town and wanted to attend the fair this year. Kitty even went. Necessity landed us there on Sunday, the closing day of the excitement. This year, for the first time, attendance went over one million (humans).
It’s a BIG gallery. Hope you have time to look, or at least come back later.
