First draft, fragmentary
First draft, fragmentary
For years, I have found it nigh impossible to take a photo of fall leaves that satisfies me. The leaves always seem much too detailed and too individual to show me the tree--some leaf by niggle.
Then, coming home a couple of weeks ago, it hit me that a steady hand and true color were not, maybe, the best way to accomplish what I wanted. So I quit trying so hard, general focus, slow shutter, point in the general direction of the blaze tree, and shoot from a moving car.
