Lots of jam bands seem to form early, when the musicians are in high school or college. Blues Traveler got started when the musicians were high school students in Princeton, New Jersey.

The were one of the HORDE Festival co-founding groups. They are seen here in the 1993 HORDE tour on its appearance in Raleigh, NC. John Popper (harmonica & vocals) performed from a chair for this concert not long after a motorcycle accident.

Bassist Bobby Sheehan died in 1999.
