Rolling Stone says that Tom Rush started the singer/songwriter thing. That’s fine by me. I just wish they all did the job so well.

He still tops the versions of “Urge for Going” renditions. He took Joni’s song to Judy Collins, and recoded it himself after she turned it down. SOther acts picked it up and covered it after hearing his version.

A lovely voice and a wonderful guitar--what more do you need?
