While at the Conference of Grand Masters in North America, we had Sunday morning free to join a tour of the Air & Space museum. Walt & I ditched the organized tour and just scooted around the museum to see as much as possible.
This is one of the most spectacular places I’ve ever seen. Of course, since single-digit age, I have been a huge fan of all things space and flying. As a result, many things that have only been pictures and fantasies for me were hung there in actual steel and wood.
Flight is a place where engineering and art meet. Many of the machines there seem as much the work of sculptors as of mechanics.
