My today
My today
I was in the east last week for work (chasing the grand master). I was real happy to see that Cole Brothers Circus was in Little Washington for a couple of days. Woke up Monday morning, grabbed a dr pepper, and headed to the grounds to see them set up the big top. In many ways, the set-up is the REAL show. The coordination of a large crew setting up such a large tent is fascinating and an art itself. These are the blue collar heroes who make the show go on.
It’s just as well that I feel that way, because I was working both nights and was unable to see the real show. Granddaddy Gray had a circus train on his model train layout. It was integral to locking me in as a rail and circus fan my whole life.
Shot this mostly with a Leica M8 with the Noctilux and a Leica M4 with a Heliar 12mm. I also drug out an Elmarit 28 and Elmar 90 collapsible.
