Made my first visit to the NEW North Carolina Art Museum today. It opened about a month-and-a-half ago. I visited the outside of the facility in March, but the interior was yet to open at the time.

It’s a really airy, bright place that makes for a really fine showing of the collection. It’s a real feat to let in so much diffuse light from outside without having any direct rays hitting. Really seeing the paintings has never been so easy.

One of the best things there is their new friendly photo policy--no tripod or flash, otherwise welcome. It was a much friendlier place.
