On third Fridays, Little Washington doesn’t roll up the streets in the evening, but they do close them off and add bands all along a few blocks of Main and Market Streets. It’s a small town (about 10,000), so it’s not all that inconvenient. Some visitors come over for the entertainment, but it seems mostly a chance for the citizens to get out of the house for a couple of hours and bump into friends for short visits.
And what better place to met friends on a hot summer evening than along the river as the evening breeze picks up to cool things off. Hell, you even get to do a little walking and work off supper. The photos are with a Leica M8 and Noctilux 50mm/f1.0 lens.
