Sherman Tate has fronted a number of bands over the years. I photographed him in several versions of Frog Level (in the late ‘60s) and in Sherman & the Blazers (the ‘70s). Sherman’s latest band is Shakin’ Sherman & the dTs.

They don’t appear often, so I was excited when Sherman called a few weeks ago to invite me to their appearance at Sadlack’s Heroes beside teh North Carolina State University campus here in Raleigh. Kitty and I had almost as much fan seeing the people there as seeing the band. Sadlack’s is a unique place with a striking clientele.
