Twas the week before Christmas, and all through the...

Just kidding, no holiday story here. The week before Christmas is often pretty hectic here. Luckier than usual this year. Got the girls tucked away in Washington on the previous weekend, so there was only me to worry with at home.

Got a little ride around time in Washington. Grabbed some photos of the old sharecroppers cottage that hides behind the hedge at our office. It is to be razed in the next few weeks. The lady who lived there died this past year. I’ll really miss this old place--it’s a wreck, but I’ve always enjoyed knowing it was back there.

The rest are from taking the slow boat home to Washington Friday. Stopped in Rocky Mount to shoot a few pics. Caught an Amtrak stop there.
