Elvin Bishop has been around the Blues for a long time. The first time I knew of him was a lead guitarist for the Paul Butterfield Blues Band, one of the great new blues bands of the 1960s. They were known for their extended jams.
His Elvin Bishop Group was the opening act for the legendary Allman Brothers appearances at the Fillmore in 1971. They performed and recorded “Drunken Hearted Boy,” one of Bishop’s songs. He even performed the song with them at the Fillmore.
This gallery is from his 1995 performance in Raleigh, NC.
If you prefer yours with music (but inferior sharpness) here’s the slideshow.
