I was not down east when Irene came through. Got there a week later to clean up the yard. Things were not so bad, just a lot of picking up to do. The time preceding the storm was worse for me (as usual).

The Labor Day weekend let me sneak in a quick spin to Hyde County. A friend was on a mission, and I tagged along.
