The National Federation of Press Women met in Wilmington, Delaware in 2003. One of the welcomers for the event was then-Senator Joe Biden. I remember being impressed with his knowledge and forthrightness. The picture he painted of what was going to happen in the next five years was astonishingly accurate.
What he did not predict was that he would be vice-president of the United States.
I especially like the photo of him before speaking. He sat quietly by himself, with a cup of coffee, preparing for his appearance. He is quite charismatic.
